Rescued cat and pug stay close to each other

There are all kinds of friendships, including those between animals, even if it’s a cat and a dog. This adorable kitten was rescued from the streets, and it couldn’t get used to being around people. It really needed a friend to inspire it and show it that it wasn’t so scary. Luckily, it found one…

A kitten called Sylvester was rescued from the streets in New York with his mother and other kittens. Of all the kittens, he was the most emotional and sensitive and often liked to be left alone, apart from the others. It wasn’t easy for him to get used to people, but he got on well with his furry friends. One day his guardian introduced him to a pug called Cooper, and from that day on life for the kitten was no different. They became friends from the first day they met, which the guardian never expected.

Sylvester was the first to run up to the dog and try to play with him. Cooper responded in kind, and the two have been almost inseparable ever since. It seems that the two have found not only good friends in each other, but also supportive. Cooper has an anxiety problem and the kitten is shy around people – so they work together to overcome their fears.

Thanks to Cooper, Sylvester has realised that being around people is not so exciting, and the doggie has become much more confident around such a faithful companion. The dog and cat sleep together, play, fool around, and cuddle. Wherever one goes, the other is sure to follow.

Sylvester is now five months old and they are still looking for owners for him. But he is much calmer now and has coped with many obstacles, as true friends make us flourish on our own. Let’s wish Sylvester a better home!
